Why a blog?

Well thats a simple question with several simple answers. The first is, because everyone else is doing it, duh! While honestly this is a good answer, there's always that driving need to see what all the buzz is about, it's not the most complete one. The real answer is, like most bloggers (I think..) I just have an obtuse look upon the world, a lot of ideas, and gasp for air when looking for a place to put them! So enough about the why, lets get into the info. To really understand what this blog would be about, I'd think you'd need to know a little of me first.

My name is Jeremy, I'm 19 and currently studying for college. What time I don't spend working a very grim job I spend diving into the internet and new ways to develop it, I read everything I can (afford) on programming and the web, I have side interests in buzzwords like web 2.0 and how they get people to move. I also have a strange fascination with advertising and markets. (Not that I'd ever willingly do this as a job, I just think its amazing how people sell their stuff!). Oh and one unmentionable is that I am pro open source, I even run Linux on my desktop. Gasp.

What will this blog be about? Well in one sentence, I'd say its about the way technology is moving. To elaborate, you'll see a lot of news story's, opinions, software and more opinions, podcasts, websites, and more opinions. Also you'll probably have a lot of fun watching my blunders as I learn and grow in the blogesphere
